Rebecca (She/They) completed their 6-year education and apprenticeship as a Midwife in 2016. They was an apprentice to Director of Midwifery Studies, Heather Carmody. Dedicated to equality among birthing persons from the beginning, Rebecca and Heather began a doula training program in rural Maine to increase access for underserved rural populations. Due to changes in Legislation, Rebecca retired as a practicing midwife in 2018, having attended over 70 births in the course of their career. Rebecca now works at The Midwifery Institute as the Administrative Director.
Rebecca is the mother to one infant child, born via C-section in 2020. Rebecca and Their child live in rural Maine with their Enormous Cat and Large dog. They enjoy poetry, Nintendo products and collecting craft supplies.
